ABOUT LIBERTY SKYWATCH LLC

OUR STORY

Liberty Skywatch began with founder Gregory M. Fanning’s lifelong interest in aviation.

From a young age, Greg was drawn to aircraft, flight, and the perspective aviation makes possible. That interest eventually developed into flying drones and a broader appreciation for the technology, precision, and creativity involved in unmanned aviation.

Over time, that personal interest turned into a business idea.

Greg saw that drones could do far more than capture impressive aerial photographs. They could help organizations document property, infrastructure, construction projects, and other physical assets more efficiently than many traditional methods.

Greg’s background in politics and government also helped shape that idea.

Through his experience working in and around government, he saw firsthand how much time can be lost to inefficient processes, outdated methods, and tasks that could often be completed more effectively with better technology. That experience reinforced a simple belief: government becomes more efficient when it intelligently adopts useful technology, not when it avoids it.

It also became increasingly apparent that municipal governments could benefit directly from professional drone services.

Municipal employees already have demanding jobs maintaining roads, drainage systems, buildings, parks, and other public assets. In many cases, simply obtaining photographs or visual documentation can mean sending an employee into the field, using a vehicle, spending staff time at the location, and then bringing that information back to the people who need it.

Liberty Skywatch was created around the idea that some of that work can be done differently.

By providing affordable professional drone services, the company can help municipalities obtain the visual information they need while allowing their employees to spend more time doing the work only they can do—maintaining infrastructure, addressing problems, and serving residents.

That became one of the central ideas behind Liberty Skywatch: use aviation technology to save clients time and money while giving them better information.

Greg also believes drones will become an increasingly common tool for governments, businesses, contractors, and property owners as the technology continues to improve.

Liberty Skywatch was founded to be part of that future.

What began as a lifelong passion for aviation is now being turned into a company focused on making modern aerial technology practical, affordable, and useful for the organizations that can benefit from it most.
